I'm not crazy. I'm just a little unwell.

Ahhh .. the female body. How it curves. How it moves.

How it completely wigs out with absolutely no explanation!

Can you tell I've had some weirdness lately? I'm dealing with the lovely array of woman-inity ... hair loss, irregular cycles, migraines, a roller-coaster of depression - followed by normalcy, ovarian cysts (which like to rupture occasionally - FYI: that doesn't feel GOOD).

The good news (you're thinking - how can that be?) is that I have a wonderful doctor who has been very cautious about procedures and medications. Everything above has been around for quite some time, and we've been able to handle it without medications or "scoping" me out (which sounds like someone is flirting with you ... but OH - it's NOT!). My mother had a hysterectomy at 31. She lived in the day when the quick and easy answer was just to remove it ("Your tooth hurts? Hmmm .. why don't we take out your uterus. That'll clear it up!"). I've found a doctor that agrees with me ... that's just not necessary. He's great.

Well, some of the issues are starting to affect me more. So, it was time to be a little more proactive. I came home with two prescriptions (one, of which, I can substitute with some natural/herbal items - yippeee).

I'm just wondering ... is this the beginning? What is my medicine cabinet going to look like in 20 years?

In the meantime, if you see me running around town ... bald, weeping, hunched over in pain ... just remember - I'm not crazy.

I'm just a little unwell.

I'm so sorry. As a fellow female, who is trying to avoid the legacy of the hysterectomy, I'm dealing with the aftermath of a cryoablation.

I feel for you!

Have you checked out "What your doctor may not tell you about Pre-menopause"? I know you are young, but it's worth a look. Poor thing, we all feel for you!

I've actually already checked for that book at my library, and will be getting it this week. I've had it recommended by multiple people!

Pardon me if I am being too forward- have you ever/do you practice natural family planning?
It has helped us so much, and many other couples we know.

I am sorry for all your discomforts!

I don't mind the question. In fact, I don't use hormonal contraception. I learned a lot about the pill when I attempted to use it right as we were getting married. Thankfully, I had HORRIBLE issues, and it caused me to do my research. We threw them in the trash, and never looked back.

It can be so rough being a woman!
