The Bible Belt Blues

My mom came by today. She brought me something to add to my Christmas decorations. I don't collect the whole snow village monstrosity, but I have collected two pieces over the last few years (thanks to gift exchanges). I have one nice little home and one little church. Today, my mom added the perfect compliment to a typical small town in the Bible Belt: the first church split.

LOL have you decided what the demonimations are? I had to giggle at 2 churches in a one house town. ;-)

Well, if it's west Texas, the larger would have to be First Baptist. The second one all depends on what part of worship became the big argument. For instance, if someone dared to raise a hand or tap their hymnal like a drum, we would have ourselves a new Bible/Community church!

If they were simply quarreling over the color of the carpet then that, my friends, brings us the Second Baptist Church of NowhereInParticular, Texas.

LOL, and how many traffic lights?

In Arkansas, one would be 1st Baptist and one would be 1st Methodist.

Arkansas sounds like North Texas unless the hand-raising/drumming thing caused the split, then it's what Christine said.

Who, by the way, has just been tagged.

Cute little town, though.
