What is love?

My husband made this for me a few years ago for Christmas. We didn't have much money to spend on gifts. He found a heart-shaped mirror and across the top he put the words, "Do you see what I see?" The words that surround my face each time I look into it are: smart, creative, beautiful, strong, bold, multi-talented, God fearing, loving.

What makes this extra special? This was made at the end of three miserable years of post-pardum depression, weight gain and virtually no self-esteem on my part. The man should have been awarded a key to the city for all he had done for me. Yet, he continued to give. This took a lot of time for a guy, but he made the effort because he knew it was just the thing that I would absolutely love.

It hangs by my vanity and I look at it every single day.

Awww! What a man!

My husband tries to convey the same message to me, but he's not as crafty as your husband. Maybe you could have your husband give mine a call. ;-)
