Hark! What cellulite in yonder buttocks breaks?

I am counting points again. Remember how I harp on the fact that maintaining healthy food intake is a daily struggle?

I don't even own a scale anymore. However, when the clothes start getting tight (or in this case, all of my summer shorts are climbing so far up my butt crack they are slicing me in half)it is time to force myself back into those positive eating habits. So, starting yesterday I began journaling my daily point value. Okay, actually it's just a bunch of hashmarks on the dry erase board in the kitchen, but you get the idea.

And what is the first thing I do when it is "buckle down" time? Steam up a giant pot of fresh veggies. Veggies are always "free" for me. When I get lax, they are few and far between (even though I like them). Yet, when you make yourself chart what you're eating and your stomach is still growling ... you fill your tum with lots of greens and oranges and yellows.

It's a constant struggle, yes. Yet, it's like the old saying, "How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time."

I need to finish off these last few (20) pounds sitting on me. I'm terrible about keeping track on my own, so I use Sparkpeople.

You're gorgeous on your own, you know that.

I'm also too cheap to buy new clothes. That's what keeps me accountable these days! ha!

When i was point counting I kept a bag of veggies in the fridge that I just kept adding to, along with spray-on viniagrette dressing and lemon pepper. I just ate and ate... (I was a very hungry caterpillar ;o)
