And sometimes things just really slurp!

Just one of those weeks.

I'm having some MAJOR issues with my body this month. It was just a tricky cycle, as my body continues to remind me that times (age) they are a'changin'! Things are getting better, but in the middle of my struggles, I had an ovarian cyst rupture yesterday. Don't know if you've ever experienced such a thing. Let's just say that it is VERY helpful to know Lamaze breathing. I can go about 1.5 to 2 years without having one try to kill me like that. When it does happen ... ummmm ... let's just say that labor without a baby is no fun. Didn't I already say, "Let's just say ..."?!? Ugh. I'm even annoying myself.

My husband had an infected tooth. Again, not pleasant. So, he has been enjoying all that comes with a root canal (including 300 visits to get it done and eventually get the actual permanent cap on it).

Tourettes has been a toot this week. "He" has reared his ugly head (like how I assume Tourette's is a guy?!?). That is getting better also. Just seemed that everything decided to show up at once.

OH - and my dad lost his job (along with about 30 other people at the BGCT). Just like my dad, to try to steal my thunder. He goes and gets laid off just so I can't get pity for an exploding cyst!

See how I keep my sense of humor, there?!

I know God has the most rockin' sense of humor (ummm ... cause He's the one that came up with it - der!). If God giggles, I like to think that I give Him the chuckles quite regularly.

(NOTE TO YOU: Save the sappy "I'm so sorry" "Hope things will get better" "*HUG*" comments. I'm already over it. Just move along to making fun of me. That will be much more fun.)

I know you said to keep the pity out, but, well, its not pity. It's an- I've been there sister.

Here's a question: where do you get the MMOTW pics? Do you take them or find them, or dod people send them to you?

Ugh! What a crazy week!

I have to say that I know about that rupturing cyst thing! That's what lead to my hysterectomy! The first one I ever had, Jake was about 18 months and I was on the floor dying and my baby crawls up to me, 'Mama, ok?'

Hang in there!

I live my life by the same philosophy - that I must be a continous source of amusement to God! It gets me by to at least know someone is enjoying my moments! HE!

Gayle, that totally made my day, because I can totally hear you saying, "Girl ..." in that way that you always do! :)

When I have those moments in my life where it seems like it's just one thing after another, I always picture God up in Heaven, elbowing Jesus, saying "Hey, watch what I'm gonna do to Erin! You'll get a kick out of this!" And that usually snaps me out of the "poor me" mentality that I tend to fall into when the going gets rough.
