Would you like some spaghetti with that yeast infection?

Congratulate me. I just had my third yeast infection of my life! I know that those who suffer them constantly hate me. That's okay. You have every right.

So, I'm at home and it's late and it's obvious what is going on and the night is going to be long and ... uncomfortable ... and we live in Blackwell ... and the nearest 24 hour Wal Mart is a good 20 minute drive. So, I hit the web!

That's when I found THIS! This lady is hysterical (which you need when it's 10:00 pm and you are battling crotch rot). I had heard of the whole yogurt thing before, but we had no yogurt in the house (and the grocery store was closed).

But I had garlic.

So, I tried it, reluctantly (who am I kidding? I'm Amish now! I couldn't pop that sucker in fast enough). Ya' know what? Within an hour ... relief. It was amazing. Absolutely amazing. Tea tree oil was also suggested for the itching (and since I'm lucky enough to have an African American child and tea tree oil is a staple in our home! BINGO!). Magic, I tell ya'. It was immediate relief.

Two warnings for my fellow crunchies: apparently the garlic can really sting for some women. Not for me (and keep the clove WHOLE - no chopping, dicing or mincing!). Oh, and you might be like me, and wake up the next morning smelling like the dining room of an old Italian mother.

It wasn't really that bad, but it did have me slightly craving some bread sticks.

LOL Yogurt I knew, garlic I didn't. Though I keep garlic cloves on hand for their awesome infection fighting powers.

Just think, when you're old you can be the village wise woman instructing others to keep garlic growing in their backyards for such emergencies. ;)

freak. My hubby is always on the couch when I'm on the PC and I always find myself giggling at your posts, so I then have to retell what you said so he can know what I'm giggling about. We both think your quite funny. As for the tea tree...that can super sting too. just fyi. I knew about the yogurt (we make homeade yogurt so that will work for me!) huh. Intresting stuff.

Wow! I've heard about putting a clove of garlic in your ear to cure an ear infection, but never heard of putting it THERE. All I can say is WOW!!!

A question, out of pure ignorance, why is tea tree oil a staple because one of your children is African-American?

Tea tree oil rocks for AA hair care, as well as itchy or dry skin or scalp.

Ah, thanks! I didn't know that. Maybe I will try some on my daughters' eczema.
