Deep in the heart of my tooth

I did okay at the dentist yesterday. Granted, it's not something you want to do every day of your life, but I survived, and I didn't have a mental breakdown or boo-hoo in the middle of everything!! YEA ME!

I did find my fingers and toes curling when it was time to (I won't even say, because just thinking about it makes me get the jeebs). Yet, I just kept sucking away at that gas. I looked like a cocaine addict, sniffing just as hard as I could. Mr. Dentist and his assistant were kind. They didn't chuckle at my massive sniffs. They just HAULED BUTT and got 'er done.

This wasn't your typical cavity. It was the kind that was deep ... like it-might-turn-into-a-root-canal-while-we're-drilling deep. It didn't, but I got the deep numbing and have to watch it carefully ... forever, in case the bottom decides to drop out.

The week after Thanksgiving: the extraction of my three wisdom teeth. Can you see me doing cartwheels? No? That's right, because I'm NOT! I chose to NOT increase my gas this time, so that I could enjoy a bit more as they're pulling teeth. I'll also have my earphones with something - anything - blaring.

Everyone have a lovely Friday. I have to move over a load of clothes to the dryer, and then curl up in a ball and whimper for about twenty minutes.

I went to the dentist yesterday too, it was the first time in 3 years. I was lucky to come out cavity free, but he did tell me I need to get my wisdom teeth out.

I tried to talk him out of it, but no go. :-)

Now I'm just procrastinating on making that appointment.

I have read that if you listen to music during surgery it helps you to relax and you will heal faster and have less pain if you can relax. Hmmm...My stomach gets all tied up in knots just thinking about it.
