Today is our town's Oklahoma Centennial Parade. We had the agony privilege of putting together the float for our church.
The major up-side? The kids have had HOURS of pretend play from the late 1800's. They're in heaven. They were out on the float again this morning before 8:00 am. I'm afraid of the weeping and moaning there will be when it's time to take it down.
Apparently they have been raising pigs. My son built a water well on their land, so they didn't have to travel to a nearby town. Thankfully, we're not historically accurate, and my black child can have a fair share of the homestead.

very very fun
Love that! Reminds me of some great times at 'the barn' during HPU HC days!
Cam,
As I was outlining letters after the sun had gone down, I had MAJOR flashbacks to those all-night float cramming sessions!
Evan saw them and his heart about burst.
"They're in the parade mom! IN IT! In the parade!"
I don't know if he was going to laugh or cry, or both. I think next parade he's going to have to be in it in someway. LOL
We ate dinner in Blackwell last night on the way home from Wichita! I kept looking for you or your kids. But I knew you would never be seen in the KFC/Taco Bell. ;)
Love the float! Nice job. The kids are just adorable.
Blessings,
Dianne :D
