Today's sermon comes from Kid Rock

What can you learn from this?

Don't even think about anything you disagree with.

What can you learn?

Happy Sabbath to my friend, Summer, who doesn't get mad when I swipe stuff from her blog ... and who has the biggest and most amazing heart for people.

Today's vocabulary
Sermon: an address of a religious nature
Sabbath: a day of rest and worship
Amen: "truth" or "so be it"

I learned that Kid Rock, who uses drugs a little more frequently than I do and who would get sideways glances if he walked it to my church, probably "gets it" more than many of the people I know.

I also learned that, despite funny facial hair and bad teeth, I still think KR is unbelievably sexy. Don't ask.

dang....it ate my comment.

the entire cd is really a good listen. pick up the clean version if you don't want to subject your ears to many curse words.

his image does nothing for how very intelligent he actually is. fascinating that he plays 8+ instruments (Very very well) and taught himself all of it by ear.

thanks for posting this.

I really liked this song. What did I learn? That you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. That Kid could probably teach the churches a thing or two. That we all have responsibility for what goes on in the world, even in the smallest way, it's a ripple effect.

I learned something from Bw's note. I did not know that he was such a musician. I saw this when Summer posted it and it warmed my heart...I'm quite empressed.
