As promised ...

Meet my two new friends, Melissa and Floyd. They are chronicling their "Life on the Road" here.

Melissa has the best smile, and just watching her work and care for the things around the motel makes everyone so very happy. She ALWAYS smells amazing. She has extensive knowledge on the use of essential oils. I will never smell lemon grass again without thinking of her.

Floyd is such a wonderful listener and a great dreamer. When my left brain is exploding, he has this amazing balance of feeding the abundance of ideas, and yet putting practical application to them.

Remember, these two are patrons at the motel. Yet, I would bore you with all of the many (MANY) things they have done to improve their room, and the motel in general. They have so much to give, and they don't hesitate to do so.

It has been a simple reminder of how I can be selfish and demanding of others. I can pay for a service, but I do not partner in the service. I enjoy being served, and justify that feeling because I'm paying someone to do a job. I do not always leave things better than when I found them. I leave messes, not blessings.

Enjoy getting to know Melissa and Floyd. Them there's some good folk!

Thanks for letting us know about these two. What a way to live...

Are those pictures of your in-laws motel? I am trying to find a place for us to escape to. We really need a Mommy & Daddy getaway and I want to do something different.
