Writings from the Vault - Part 15

Christine opened a trunk more than a year after moving. She found a yellow folder, full of things she had written as a high school and college student. If you are bored enough, feel free to pine away the next few moments as she shares the good ... and some of the really bad ... with you.

I made a little note on this one - it was about a guy that was older than me. I was CRAZY about him. He knew it, and used it to his advantage for quite awhile. I was basically some cheap lip. Jerk. Wrote this April 18, 1988 - my sophomore year in high school.

Fuel On The Fire

Oh,
how familiar
this is to me.
You are making my life
complete once again.
For how long?
Time can
only tell.
Yes, I wonder
how soon it will be
before my heart
grows to its
greatest love
and is shot down
by you --
my aching
broken heart
torn and scarred
by the ripping torture
it has withstood
because of
you.
How a person can
put out such a
fake love,
I'll never know.

Congratulations.
You have done it well.

Extremely well.

-Christine Deadman

And that, dearest readers, is the end of the little yellow folder.
