And siblings make seven

In our current situation, we are now parenting five children. Wednesday - three kids in our home. Thursday - five!

So, the rundown of ages goes like this: 11, 10, 9, 8 and 5

You can prepare to have more kids and organize, but then at some point you just have to do it. That's when the kinks and oversights are blaring in your face. All in all, though, I'm kicking butt. Well, if your idea of kicking butt is three creative meals a day, clean floors, empty laundry baskets and the absence of body odor ... then I've failed miserably.

HOWEVER, if you consider kicking butt to be keeping everyone fed, clothed, using words instead of whining, working out sibling issues (just before they kill one another), and freely allowing the quirky things that give hurting children all they need to feel safe and secure ... well, baby, I'm whoopin' some TAIL!

Hey, I added kids two days ago and I have time to sit down and blog! WHY do I have time? Because I'm not doing laundry, I'm not picking up the living room, and I'm not bathing (later ... but not now). I'm sitting here looking at all that I could still be doing, but I know that if I don't allow myself to just park my keister and write and catch up on my favorite blogs, then I'll go coo-coo!

My kids don't need a clean living room. They need a sane Mommy!

I don't know how long we'll have these sweet angels with us, but I'm going to soak up every ounce of them I can.
