There are some things I just despise on the average day. Stuff like folding laundry (and then actually putting it away - in the RIGHT LOCATION!), or rolling out tortillas or doing anything that is mundane or that takes a long time. It's also the kind of stuff that tends to be somewhat important if you want things to run smoothly. It's also the kind of stuff that you thank yourself for later. Blech.
Some people listen to the radio or watch TV while they do these sorts of things. Of course, you are tied to where a radio or TV is located ... and you need to enjoy TV or radio. I find that these things go much faster for me if I can be engrossed in something. yet, I also want it to be somewhat valuable.
So, you'll find me dragging around my laptop or portable DVD player, and watching documentaries or History Channel specials on Netflix!
Yes, that makes me a total dork. However, I'm a total dork who actually finds clean underwear when she opens her drawer. So, just stuff it.
Better yet, fold it neatly and put it away properly.

I just got a laptop (and I hate housework) so I may need to do just that. Thanks for the idea!!
i HATE laundry folding and putting up.
I totally agree with you, but that does not stop me from hating it.
Or wishing that I would invent a totally earth friendly cheap disposable clothing option that also fertilized my grass and cleaned the air....or something like that. :)
Hows about listening to an audiobook? I'm sure you could find some documentary audiobooks!
AH YEAH that's how I roll too! Except I don't have a laptop. But the ipod is a goodin for learning types of podcasts and of course the book on tape never fails to keep me from noticing I've emptied the dishwasher. LOVE IT! Now, if only I could get up from this computer easier.
NPR, baby, NPR.
I do that too! CANNOT fold laundry unless there is some audio, and preferably video, going on.
