Swiping more Duggar recipes

Here I go again. This one is yum. Big surprise - I cut out the meat! It's super inexpensive and easy, too. Remember - when I say easy, I mean EASY!

Dugger Taco Soup With a Christine Twist

2 cans chopped green chilies
1 onion diced
2 cans hominy (rinsed and drained)
3 cans diced tomatoes
2 cans pinto beans (rinsed and drained)
1 can kidney beans (rinsed and drained)
2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 TB taco seasoning (don't buy it when you can make it!)
1 carton (not can) of broth

You throw it all in a pot and simmer it for about 30 minutes.

That's it.

Really.

You can serve it with tortilla chips, or rice, or (gf) tortillas or some shredded veggie "cheese" ... or whatever!

this looks good! LOVE the taco seasoning recipe. I've been making my own but it does not look that good... I'm definitly trying that.
About how many servings did this make?

The Texas version of this includes a packet of Ranch dressing seasoning mix. Don't know why, but it give it some extra snap.

We love Taco Soup but usually have the meat. Maybe I'll try it without.

btw, my kids are STILL raving about the slow-cooker lasagna. It was SOOOOOOOO good! Many thanks to YOU!

Did you know they were on the Today show today announcing #18!

This sounds yummy! I loved the lasagna. :)

I really appreciate these remakes of yours. I had assumed I couldn't use their recipes since they were so full of tater tots (a personal favorite of mine, but forbidden now that I'm a nutrition tyrant mom).

Lana, it makes a big pot. Sorry, that's as good as it gets for me. It feeds my family of seven with some left over.

Beth, the Duggar's actually put in the ranch dressing package, as well. I left it out, though.

Thanks again Dahling! My computer wasn't working right the day you posted this and then I was in the Motherland(without internet) for the weekend so I couldn't be properly appreciative. Hope you had a great day yesterday! :D
