If only Schneider would show up once in awhile

Tuesday was rough. Tuesday was really rough.

No child should ever have to carry the amount of pain that some of our children do. To hear it. To see it. To try to help them navigate it. To not take it personally. It is rough.

So, for those of you who are parenting the kids from "the tough places," why don't you join me in my little fantasy. I like to pretend that as I wake up every morning, and pull back the covers, this song begins to play.

And everything seems possible again.

This is it. This is it.
This is life, the one you get
So go and have a ball.

This is it. This is it
Straight ahead and rest assured
You can’t be sure at all.

So while you’re here enjoy the view
Keep on doing what you do
So hold on tight we'll muddle through
One day at a time, One day at a time.

So up on your feet. Up on your feet
Somewhere there’s music playing.
Don’t you worry none
We’ll just take it like it comes.

One day at a time.

Am I the only one that can't get enough of this song??

Thanks for making me smile and giggle, just a little.

I didn't need the video or the lyrics to sing the entire song. After I read your title it was like Pavlov's dog... Is that a good thing?

Paul, I find that very comforting. I see you as a wonderfully stable individual. Good to know that we share some idiosyncrasies.

Nothing warms the cockles of my heart like "hearing" my favorite Rockford call me kissteen.

You made my day. Sorry about burning your brain with a Valerie Bertinelli flashback.
