This is someone's reality.

This is reality.

Every single day, parents have to decide between the life of one child and the wellbeing of the others.

Worship God today by doing something for someone who needs you.

"While not all Christians are gifted or equipped for taking in orphans it's pretty convicting that 65 million American evangelicals can't rescue 115,000 kids from an unstable hell. If the pagans in our neighborhoods aren't struck by how our churches are applying the Word of God to the needy it's possible that we aren't the real deal yet." - Anthony Bradley

That is heart wrenching. My house would be filling with more children but God has called me to work with the moms and the families that exist. I cannot wait to get through school and get started.

Thank you for the quote. We have begun domestic infant adoption and it's scary. We can list the "what if's" on the negative side so easily. Just yesterday I said to my husband, "yes, but what if we actually moved forward and acted upon our convictions?" What if?

Wow. I just looked at all those images. Those are very hard images to see. Hard because it's hard for us to understand and realize that's what is happening in the world while we live our cushy lifestyles. I agree with Carole, thank you for the quote.

I've been lurking around your blog now for about a month, and I decided it was finally time for me to make my presence known!! First of all, I truly adore your blog for so many reasons. Thanks for your passion about opening others' eyes to social justice and poverty.

Your mention of Anthony Bradley caught my eye in this post, too. My husband graduated a year ago from Covenant Seminary, where Bradley is a professor. My husband actually became friends with him and was also good friends with Anthony's roommates. He is waaaay cool, almost too cool to be on staff at Covenant!! Do you have any personal association with the seminary? Just curious.

Thanks for making me laugh (sometimes hysterically) nearly every time i read your blog! And also thanks for making me think and ponder difficult issues. Your honesty is so very refreshing. Perhaps our paths will cross someday?
