Please, feel free to watch this movie and harass everyone you know to watch it, as well! We all get so very frustrated with how the media can portray medical and psychological issues. CBS, however, is airing a movie that is actually supported by and being promoted by the National Tourette Syndrome Association.
A real picture of Tourettes - ya' know, the truth - the possibilities. Whoo! Hoo!
Front of the Class (published in September 2005) is an inspiring true story of incredible challenges and unwavering determination. As a child with Tourette Syndrome, Brad was beaten, mocked and shunned. Some thought he was possessed by the devil. Others, including members of his own family, refused to be seen with him in public. As an adult, Brad overcame all odds to become an award-winning teacher of the year for the state of Georgia.

(yes, she is wearing a Baylor shirt, sitting on the OSU side ...
she really loves her daddy)

Wait! Stop the train! Your hubby went to Baylor too??? There's another bear in this wasteland of sooners and cowboys?? What year is he? MUST MEET HIM! Seriously, I've only met one other alum here!
Glad you posted this. We watch our recorded programs on the DVR after the kids go to bed, so we skip commercials. I actually remember skipping the ad for this show, so I didn't know what it was about.
DVR is now set to record "Head of the Class" (but we're still not going to watch the commercials).
I will definitely watch it. Thanks
I know I sound like such a typical "mom," but I saw him on the Oprah show... I think it was last year. He impressed me to no end. I'm so glad there's a movie about his life now.
Going to set the DVR right now. Thanks for letting us know. I am very interested.
We're getting the word out on our end as well...tell Twitchy Mac that my son with TS is telling all his friends to watch. I'll be blogging about it today as well. Brad Cohen is a true inspiration! Yeah for CBS!
