Parenting Tip #501

Kids can get sassy. They can get downright mouthy. They forget to use their words and smart off. The emotions just fly out of the mouth.

That's when I go into Psycho Mom Mode.

"Oh ... my ... GOSH!! That is the SWEETEST thing I have EVER heard you say! I AM doing a good job as a Mom. COME HERE! COME HEEEEERRRRE!"

Lots of hugging and kissing while your child moans and gripes something like, "I love you, too" ... or maybe it's more like, "Get off me, you freak!"

Oh I am SO using this with my 12 year old. And my 17 year old. And anyone else who gets in the way OH yeah! *insert wicked innocent grin here*

By the way I love pictures of homes that don't look perfect. Homes that don't look perfect look absolutely perfect to me. You're doing great, you are such an inspiration to me of a Christian woman right down here at ground level, doing it real and doing it right.

love the reverse stuff. Taz would not quit singing "I want candy" over and over and over and over and over today. So I said "I bet you can't say it 100 times". So he did and kept going. I said "Cool. Go for 100 more". It wasn't fun any more so he quit.
