QVC for creative minds

Here's a little nugget for sparking some creativity in your kids. It's free. It's easy. It's hilarious.

Fill a sack with items. The more bizarre the better (like a broken hanger, or a bulb syringe ... stuff that looks funky). Set up a little table at the front of the room. One at a time, each child selects something from the bag and heads to the table. They have one minute to "sell" that item QVC-style. The more creative, the better! The only rule is they cannot promote it for its normal use (for instance, the bulb syringe cannot be used for sucking boogers - gotta' come up with something else).

You may want to have your video camera handy. :)

Now THAT is an idea that would be loads of fun for a rainy day. Of course, my kids would have to know what QVC was!

Since we don't watch tv, I wonder if I could get QVC on the internet YouTube style....and then have tons of fun with this idea! I am certian my boys would have a blast....I can't wait to be a cool fun mom too, lol! I keep waiting for you to rub off some of that creativity on me....

Yo! What? You teasin' us? Where's the video of your kids doing it?

I wanna see Presh convincing her siblings to buy a sweaty insert from a shoe - or maybe lint from a dryer.

Pretty please? That would be hilarious.

Leslie :-)

Do these great ideas just pop into your head??? When do you have time to come up with this stuff or are you just naturally gifted in the fun department? Will you be my mom??

Oh, I am alllllll right brained. In fact, I swear I think the left side of my head is slowly caving in.

I can give you a million great ideas. Ask me to follow through with them for weeks or months and I will cry. I hate follow-through. That's where I struggle with this whole RAD thing. Thankfully, we are supposed to always be switching things around, so I can cover my butt.
