It's the end of an era

As of noon tomorrow, I am no longer the pastor's wife. Is it wrong that the thing bugging me the most is having to retire this AMAZING icon? It has been my staple. Well, and this one, too:

I won't take it down right away. I need time to mourn. I also need some ideas for a new profile pic. I'm not terribly picky. It just has to be super unique and unbelievably cool.

In the meantime, I'm just going to pull up my page and look at it over and over. Not quite ready to say good-bye.

So just because he doesnt get paid to be "the Pastor" means he isnt one any longer?

Hmmmmmm....

P, exactly, but it would be lost on the general (IC) public ... so I'm kissing it good-bye. Not nearly as fun when you have to explain it constantly. :(

Well then we'll just have to find something fun won't we?

i need time to mourn too. that icon is what attracted me to your page over a year ago. whenever i tell my husband about something you said (every day or two) i refer to you as "the pastor's wife" and he instantly remembers that image. so sad to see it go, but i'm confident you'll find something just as memorable. it was a great era.

I'm with Kristal. While that's not what drew me to your blog (actually i believe it was Summer telling me that you'd written a review about me and I hadn't known you'd bought anything yet! That's what drew me here...but it's not what kept me here!!) But yea...when ever I tell the hubby something going on in your family, or something you'd said that I was chewing over...I always had to throw in "ya know, the pastor's wife" and he'd say "oh yea! Ok." hehehe

WOW! It is so weird to think you are probably moving right now! Praying it all goes smoothly as possible!

Brenda,

We actually pull out Thursday. Tomorrow is painting and getting more furniture toward the front of the house and disassembled. Tuesday we get the truck. Load, load, load, load and load. Leave early Thursday morning.

Blecgh.

So, in preparation, I'm reading blogs, catching up on email and waiting on my husband to bring me something fresh and healthy from Sonic. *cough*

Some of Sonics drinks do contain the word fruit or a type of fruit ; ) Thanks for letting us know. We'll pray for you all week!!! Take a vitamin or something.

I'm so sorry! I love that icon as well. At least you can be glad it wasn't your tattoo, right?

Once you get settled in at your new place, I think you need to hold a ceremony to honor the passing of the baton and choose another pastor's wife to whom you shall bequeath the photos.

P.S. My word verification is chest. Perhaps that's what you should have for your avatar next: some way cool breastfeeding shot.

It could start something combining trailers, RVs, RADishes etc... like trailer radish or soemthing fun. Seems like you will get there somehow, meanwhile... a moment of silence.

Awwwww...Do you really have to retire your icon???? What about "THE EX-PASTOR'S WIFE" ??? Seriously, not just the icon, but your real world identity is evolving as The Pastor's Wife chapter of your life is ending. That is very, very sad, and probably a little scary. We are all waiting excitedly to see what the next chapter of your life in Texas brings. Know your friends and followers in the blogosphere are thinking of you and praying for you and your fabulous family as you muddle through your big move! Wishing you the best!!!!!

How about just adding "I was" for now? I feel confident that your next icon will come to you as the next chapter unfolds.

Hope the move goes as smoothly as it can!
