Twas the night before Christmas and all through the trailer,
Not a RADling was pulling out crazy behavior.
The stockings were hung. Mom's having a cow.
She bought nothing to put in them, and it's too late now.
The siblings were nestled, all snug in the floor
watching some TV movie and begging for more.
And Mom with her laptop and Dad with his, too,
were enjoying some quiet in this crazy zoo.
When from the front room, there arose such a clatter.
They sprang from the TV to see what was the matter.
Toward their RADtastic, they flew like a flash
climbing over the youngest in a furious dash.
The sparkle in her eyes filled up the whole room,
melting away the RAD darkness and gloom.
You see, what they found was beyond their prediction.
This RADish had earned her way off of restriction.
With soft, loving eyes and a calm soothing voice,
they knew in that moment she had made this great choice.
More rapid than eagles they clamored to see,
then whistled and shouted and joined in the glee.
"No slowness! No sloppy! No crass disrespect!
No chatter or questions! No choosing to neglect!
From the sunrise on Tuesday til this evening call,
She's fought it and braved it and tackled it all!"
She spoke not a word, but her smile almost burst.
She hasn't been "perfect," but had pushed through the worst.
As they stood around stunned, each and every one,
her Mom and Dad welcomed her back to the fun.
She sprang near the TV as they all snuggled in,
soaking up this moment, which may not happen again.
And the Moers', they bid peace and some hope in this fright.
"A Healing Christmas to all ... and to all, a good night!"
