Happy New Socks!

Well, hello there, 2012!

You are going to be spectacular.

I have big plans to enjoy every inch of you. I'm going to keep adding to my Backward Bucket List by being present, and sucking in the mundane so I don't miss the fabulous in the middle of it.

I am going to soak up the intimacy of my marriage. I will roll around in this magical thing we have created over almost two decades.

I'm going to look forward to jacking up as a parent, because it's one more opportunity to teach my children how to repair a disconnect from another human.

I'm going to turn 40, and smooch it smack on the lips. Maybe give it a little tongue.

I'm going to celebrate new socks and take pictures of myself and put them on the internet, because that is fun and weird - which makes it all the more fun!

Unashamedly.

I love who I am and who I am becoming.

Love this! Especially the socks and the backward bucket list. A regular bucket list as always felt like too much pressure!

Happy New Year. Maybe a trip to Canada is in order this year??? :)

I love your blog Christine, that's the most exciting view of the new year that I've glimpsed in weeks and boy did I need it! Consider my attitude booted in the butt and me feeling a whole lot better for it, thank you {} I hope your year is every bit as cool as your socks!

I've benn reading your blog for a while and enjoy the positive energy I take from it. "I love who I am and who I am becoming.". That's a perspective I can live/love with. Thank you, and I look forward to meeting you at(in?) space.

Personally, I think 40 is awesome. And the backwards bucket list. Never occurred to me. Love it. That is a perfectly perfect idea. Thanks.

When I "jack up" as a parent I will try to be a little less hard on myself and follow your advice. Thanks. Love the socks!

I love who you are, too. When people find out I actually got to meet you, they ask what you were/are like. And I always say that you are truly one of the most fascinating (and coolest) people I have ever met. Just like those socks.

I personally believe, it's easier to accept jacking up as a parent when you sport the perfect pair of socks!
I know my kids appreciate it :)

Can I puleeeze use the stine sox pic in my blog? I could even blur out your face but that would be crazy cuz you are beautiful. Seeing you as beautiful is helping me to see me as beautiful again too. I have been learning good things lately. Good, healthy things. You help me to stay focused. Do you think we could dread my seventeen hairs? I am wondering if that might actually make my hair situation improved... Any thoughts? I'd like to visit you someday... Happy Day to you Christine!
