Love that quote. I tweeted it and FB'd it. Giving credit to you of course. I was ready to jump off the roof today. In fact, my husband and I would have held hands and done it together. Two of our three were on RAD freaking overload today. And yes, that is one way to add another 100 hours to a 24 day.

Last summer when the mom was on the cover of Newsweek (for killing her RAD child), I cried, and prayed, because I could understand it, 110%.

The women I have met on this journey.. the incredible, strong, MIGHTY women who have inspired me, cried with me, propped me up, moved me to action, loved me.. you have all made it worth the journey. I couldn't do it without you, and I wouldn't want to.

Very well said by both of you! I'm thankful that while my child has minor speech issues, comparatively speaking, I am so very grateful that is all we have. It is hard not to judge other parents when you "don't know the rest of the story" since so much of it is behind the scenes, despite God telling us not to judge anyone regardless. I have learned so much from reading your blog. Thank you!

Okay Christine, you (and sweet and wise and very much advocate mama Diane) have hit the nail on the head. But Christine, OUR village wouldn't be keeping each other from jumping off of the roof....we'd all be up there together passing around the beverages and being busy not being the go-to mama-shoppers' mama. XOXOXOX! :-) Thanks for the love and the friendship and the support. Indeed, we are very different, but also very much the same...which are also my favorite kind of people, too!

You are right, we CAN'T do it alone. There are only two reasons I didn't find myself being the top story on the 10 o'clock news last night. 1) divine intervention and inspiration and 2) knowing that I'm not alone, I'm not the only one who's felt this way, what I'm feeling IS completely normal given the hand we've been dealt, and that I do have friends out there who are watching my back!

From a parent whose children are not suffering from RAD, I just want to say that while I have struggled with judgement in MANY areas of my life, judging parents whose children have RAD is not one of those areas.
I learn from you, I pray for you and your children, I believe in healing of all kinds to be taking place in your lives, and I regularly hug my kids tighter and thank God for them, because of what I have learned from people like you and Corey.
And I believe with all my heart that the calling you are living out is one of the highest callings on earth. Do I think you are saints, nope, but I do think for the most part you are obedient... and that is the most any of us can ask for...
Sorry for the book in comment form, I just want you to know that there are those of us who don't "get it" that know that we don't... and as such just learn... and support and pray.
